Darkstar

My reimagining of Darkstar from Ben 10.

Like some of my other artwork, this came out looking like something else that already exists and I didn't notice it until I finished coloring.

The backstory I made for this Darkstar is that he is an alchemist that Gwen faced off against during her superhero career. During their fight he tried to use all his magical energy in one final blast to defeat gwen, but she reflected it back at him, it disfigured him and caused him to develop a breathing problem that makes so he needs a respirator.

Now for his look, I wanted to make him look more magical so I gave him a cape and black clothes for an evil look. And I didn't know til the end of drawing this, but his mask looks alot like it is based on The Phantom of the Opera's mask. His Gauntlet is used as a focusing tool like a wand, it can also tear open a hole to go anywhere in the world, and it can steal magical energy from others and store it in the vial at the end of it.

His abilites in this story are that he can control many different types of dark magic that is the opposite of gwen's magic. He sometimes can use his magic to change people into the darker side of themselves. He can steal other's magical energy and use it later if he chooses, and like charmcaster he has animal like minions except they are made of shadows.
