Well no offense to the Dwayne McDuffie but for a lot of the explanations he gave out for Ben 10 related stuff, I took them with a grain of salt. Some of stuff he said contradicted what came before it or seemed very strange even by Ben 10 standards. Not ripping on everything he said but a lot of it was hard to believe. Besides Derrick J Wyatt has come up with a lot of stuff that's rewriting what Dwayne had established.
So going back to NRG, he looks like he's made of energy because he has no black outline you'd expect to see on a solid object or person so this implies to me that he's made of energy, that and the fact that he looks a lot like 10,000 Volt Ghost from Scooby Doo. The intangibility kinda doesn't make sense to me because in Hot Stretch he cut open a machine before removing the core when if he had intangibility he could of gone through it and removed the core with no damage to the machine.
Well Ghostfreak could, he turned Ben intangible in Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
Ok that's a good exception
That statement sort of bothered me, if energy beings don't have DNA then how did Verdona Tennyson manage to have kids ?
That's a good way of thinking, but there are a lot of new ideas that are pretty good in explaining stuff. I only choose to ignore things that don't make sense or changed what came before it like Kevin being a mutant who could manipulate energy to a half human alien who can cover himself in whatever material he touches and has limited shapeshifting.
Yeah, maybe but I just think it's easier to think NRG doesn't have intangibility because then you have to overthink how it works on an alien of his type.
To be honest I never liked the mana aspect of Ben 10 universe. Plus it's a real headscratcher on how beings made of energy without DNA manage to be created, learn to control energy around them and then master the art of transmogrification to change into human beings and possibly other creatures.
I liked Kevin's old powers, it was cool to see him transform into twisted versions of Ben's aliens.
Yeah, the whole stomach dimension that links together all Gourmands was really out there
Well he is still technically one being, though separated body from armor, so that's why only has the omnitrix symbol on his armor. I have been thinking that the omnitrix symbol could pop out from the armor with his body when he exits it.
I tried not to worry to much about the placement of the omnitrix symbol on both because in the show the omnitrix symbol for the armor is on the chest and for his body it's on his belt.
Well it was something I came up with as I was writing it so I'm not surprised it has some holes in it.
Yeah maybe he should have something on him when he exits the suit but with the way I reenvisioned NRG, his species always wears this suit everywhere except for their native planet so wearing radiation dampening armor or the stuff he has on in Omniverse would seem redundant. Plus he would never exit the suit unless he was forced to as a last resort.
I don't like the suit from the show either
