The Mad Hatter

A superhero originally thought up by along with a few others. I thought I'd take a whack at this guy and put my own spin on it.

So for Mad Hatter's history, Matt Hader grew up with a troubled past, his father was killed by a man who face was hidden any time Matt tried to remember it. This event left Matt troubled and made his mother lose her mind and end up in a psychiatric hospital. Years later, she was found dead in her room, seemingly from suicide. This drove Matt to insanity and he too ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Matt was in there for 5 years and was miserable, the only shining light in his situation was his nurse, Alice Kinsly. She helped to make his stay more comfortable than what was usually expected. Though what Alice didn't know was that Matt had another person looking out for him. A person that only Matt could see. When Matt was alone a monster in human form would visit him, it was called the Jabberwocky. Jab told Matt that soon things were going to be getting worse for both him and Alice and that he could give Matt a way to fight against it. Matt hesitantly refused and Jab told him that he'll accept later on. A few days later, a fire broke out in the hospital and the patients all started going insanely violent attacking doctors, staff members, and other patients. Matt through the window of his locked room to see Alice being chased by three psychotic patients. To escape his burning room and save Alice, Matt accepted Jab's deal. As Alice was being cornered the trio of psychos, Matt appeared behind them with a look of absolute madness on his face and killed them each with surgical tool. Matt then escaped with an unconscious Alice out of the burning hospital with his sanity restored. Days later Matt tried to pick up the pieces of his life and start over but he was approached once again by Jab and told about fulfilling his end of the deal. Creatures and people from the Wunderland Realm will be coming to this dimension which will cause chaos to everything they encounter. Matt has to take up the mantle of The Protector aka The Mad Hatter and capture, contain, or kill whatever comes to his dimension. Matt will get the right equipment and tools for the job as well as some special abilities, like being able to see a person's madness above their heads unless they are wearing a hat. So Matt goes to the Haberdasher to his clothes and his array of special hats which contain a weapon or a power for Matt to use against his enemies and guiding him along the way is the Cheshire Cat, which only Matt can see.

The Weapons the Hatter is holding are
The Crimson Axe which belonged to the Red Queen and her Executioner, it can cut through anything it touches, but sends it's user into a rage fueled blood frenzy which will make user kill whoever is around them, friend or foe.

The Cheshire Claws, which have a small portion of the ghostly essence of the Cheshire Cat in them, allow the user to turn invisible and makes everyone who is slashed by them disappear in the blink of an eye. The only downside to them are that they slowly siphon the living energy from the user til they disappear as well.
